The Eye of Terror immediately began to expand, swallowing Cadia. Abbadon finally relents, desperate, and crashes the Blackstone Fortress (Ancient space fortresses with massive warp guns made by the Old Ones) into Cadia, destroying the Pylons. Chaos's forces were so effectively blunted, the defenses too strong for the troops. The assault was brutal for both sides, but they held. All lead by Creed, and the Triumvirate of the Imperium, Saint Celestine, Magos Cawl, and Inquisitor Greyfax. When Abbadon came, he had to face the greatest the Imperium had to offer the vast majority of the Cadian Shock Troopers alongside a host of other Guard forces, the majority of the Space Wolves, who with the Thousand Sons sieging their home system have nothing left to lose, a force of Grey Knights, a massive force of Dark Angels, the Black Templars, the Phalanx with an Imperial Fists company, and the Sisters of Battle. I'll be listing tl drs events of the books, easily understandable for those less lore-fanatical, for people who don't have 70$ to piss away.Ĭadia, bulwark of the Imperium, has finally fallen. To those out of the loop, the Gathering Storm books are coming out, which are leading to some major plot progression in 40k for the first time in a long time. So I know there are a lot of 40k fans who don't actually like the tabletop.
